4月23日，中国乒乓球协会第十届会员代表大会第二次会议审议通过刘国梁辞去中国乒协主席职务，选举王励勤为新任主席，高元义、马龙为副主席，完成届中领导班子调整。

完成换届后，马龙接受记者采访时表示，他更关注项目的梯队建设，因为这是国乒长盛不衰的根本，希望能够把自己的宝贵经验传授给年轻运动员。
马龙在接受采访时特别感谢了刘国梁的培养和支持，并表示这份感情不会因为身份的转变而变化。
